I like this collection because there are multiple inspirations incorporated into one common theme. Majority of the looks have a pastel color palette and subtle details.

Preppy "Happy Days" socks with heels look. Love the cropped sweater and high-waist skirt.

The detail on the dress resemble shells and the socks have sea urchins!

Blue Scholars: Oof! EP

It's been years since I listened to Underground Hip-Hop. Blue Scholars has officially reeled me back in and I'm hooked with their Oof! EP. "HI-808" makes me proud to say that I'm from Hawaii. Watch this video and you'll be hooked too! Foodland, poke, The Shack, Zippys, Shave Ice, downtown...that's the 808 love.

Love the asymmetrical sleeves. I think the sleeveless and sleeve look is geneiuos! Why didn't I think of this myself?!? I am altering my shirts on my many days off work to create this hip and chic look.

Rock Hard Shoes:

I realized the shoes that have recently caught my eye and made my heart skip a beat resemble rocks. They are solid, a little bulky, harsh, strong, and dark. I need a pair of rock solid shoes to do battle in the greatest city in the world.

Balmain has done it again. First came these heels...

and now this from the fall/winter collection.

Hopefully retailers will start making knockoffs like they did with the studded shoe so I can get my hands on some zipper boots!

Oxfords of 2009

While reading the August issue of Details during my lunch break, I came across these beautiful Prada shoes. The BFF mentioned how infatuated he was with them, but it's hard to imagine what oxfords with studs actually look like. I stared at them for over a minute thinking how beautiful they would be on my feet.:) The shirt with studs is just an added bonus! I need to read up on men's fashion if shoes look this good. Enjoy!
